NCC has many years of expertise in evaluating and identifying the automated recordings of systems used for bird detection, bird collision avoidance and wind turbine shutdown. These systems register data resulting from automated real-time analysis of high-resolution imagery. The NCC’s specialized researchers, through their access to the data registration platform of each given automated system, proceed to analyze and compare these data with the corresponding field data collected from visual surveys. Based on this comparative analysis and the use of efficiency indicators, they evaluate the operation of the automated system under consideration.
