Environmental Monitoring Program in the installation area of the Independent Natural Gas System (IGSS) of Alexandroupoli during the construction phase

Project description

An Environmental Monitoring Program was conducted in the installation area of the Alexandroupolis Independent Natural Gas System (INGS) during its construction. The program included:

• Monitoring Plan for marine mammals and sea turtles in the Project area.
• Monitoring Program to monitor ambient and underwater noise in the Project area.
• Monitoring Program to monitor the ecological status of marine ecosystems using seabirds and sea turtles as biomarkers.
• Assessment of the impact of lighting on fish fauna and birds.
