Project description

Monitoring of the abundance, distribution and demographic characteristics of seabird populations to determine the Good Environmental Status (GES) of seabirds (Descriptor 1: Biodiversity) under the Marine Strategy Framework Directive in 14 Greek Natura 2000 sites.

The target seabird species were the Audouin's Gull (Larus audouinii), the Mediterranean Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis desmarestii), the Scopoli's Shearwater (Calonectris diomedea), the Yelkouan Shearwater (Puffinus yelkouan) and the Mediterranean Storm Petrel (Hydrobates pelagicus melitensis).
