The strategic partnership of European ecological consultancies, co-founded by Nature Conservation Consultants (NCC), continues its journey under a new name that reflects the full breadth of its work.

The European Renewable Energy and Wildlife Consortium (ERWC) is being renamed EcoSymbia. The consortium was founded in Paris in June 2024 by environmental consulting firms from various European countries, with the aim of supporting the responsible development of renewable energy sources while protecting nature.

In the two years since, the partners’ collaboration has broadened beyond its original focus on renewable energy and wildlife. The new name reflects that growth.

Today EcoSymbia brings together five partners, twelve companies and more than 550 experts. The partners are Waardenburg Ecology (Netherlands), the Écosphère Group (France), OIKON (Croatia), BioInsight (Portugal) and NCC (Greece), together with their subsidiaries and collaborating companies.

Within EcoSymbia, NCC contributes its experience in Mediterranean ecosystems, on land and at sea. Through this collaboration, NCC exchanges knowledge and methods with its partners and helps shape shared quality standards and research protocols, offering its clients local expertise backed by a Europe-wide team.
