Dr. Ioannis Kalogiros is a senior researcher at the Institute of Environmental Research and Sustainable Development of the National Observatory of Athens, Greece. His main research interests include precipitation and clear air observations using weather radar, weather radar data processing algorithms, data assimilation in weather forecasting numerical models, low frequency lightning detection algorithms, clear and cloudy Atmospheric Boundary Layer, air-sea interaction, observations with instrumented aircraft, ships, buoys, acoustic sounder and meteorological towers, turbulence parameterization, electromagnetic waves propagation in turbulence.
