Asaf Mayrose

Avian Ecology, Raptors and Telemetry Expert

Asaf Mayrose is a wildlife ecologist specializing in raptor conservation, population ecology, and human–wildlife conflict mitigation. He currently serves as an Avian Ecologist at the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, where he leads research and management programs for endangered bird species, including the Houbara Bustard, Golden Eagle, Bonelli’s Eagle, Lanner Falcon, Barbary Falcon, and others.

With more than 30 years of field experience, Asaf has extensive expertise in population monitoring, spatial ecology, wildlife disease management, and evidence-based conservation planning. His work integrates scientific research with practical conservation action, in close collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, academic partners, private-sector companies, and international organizations. He also works closely with infrastructure developers, conducting pre- and post-construction environmental impact assessments and long-term monitoring for major infrastructure projects, including airports, wind farms, electrical transmission lines, and railways.
