Determination of Good Environmental Status for seabirds in the context of the implementation of the WFD. Monitoring of the abundance, distribution and demographic characteristics of seabird populations to determine the Good Environmental Status (GES) of seabirds (Descriptor 1: Biodiversity) in 14 Natura 2000 sites in application of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive.

The target species of the seabird fauna were the Aegean Gull (Larus audouinii), the Sea Crow (Phalacrocorax aristotelis desmarestii), the Artemis (Calonectris diomedea), the Mychos (Puffinus yelkouan) and the Hydrobates pelagicus melitensis).
