He is a Professor of Animal FLight at the Department of Evolutionary and Environmental Biology at the University of Haifa, Israel. He studies flying birds, bats and insects using radars, bio-acoustic devices, and animal-borne radio and GPS transmitters. His research focuses on environmental and anthropogenic impacts on the behavior, ecology and movement of aerial animals, as well as their implications for conservation and human life.
