DESCRIPTION:

The aim of the project was to implement conservation measures for the immediate protection of 4 priority bird species in the Andros SPA. The species are the Black-backed Gull, the Aegean Gull, the Sea Crow and the Spotted Eagle. The overall objective was to propose, establish and test on an operational scale a socially acceptable and economically viable management system for the SPA that coordinates the activities of the competent authorities and implements the key management measures, i.e. those measures that are considered strictly necessary to achieve a satisfactory conservation status of the priority species in the SPA.
