Environmental Interpretation - Publications

Within the framework of the European LIFE projects NCC implements public awareness actions targeting mainly the local communities. Those actions include the promotion of the projects, the organization of information events, the production of environmental education kits, documentaries and special editions, as well as the creation of exhibition rooms. Emphasis is given to the different target groups of each area with special communication plans and primary social research.

 


 

In the framework of the project LIFE+ Nature “Conservation measures to assist the adaptation of Falco eleonorae* to climate change” (LIFE13 NAT/GR/000909) NCC is responsible for the coordination of the public awareness activities.

 


 

In the framework of the project Στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος LIFE+ Nature "Conservation and Management of the Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni) at the Greek SPA sites" (LIFE11 NAT/GR/001011) NCC is responsible for the coordination of the public awareness actions, which among others include the creation of an exhibition room and the production of a documentary and special editions.

In the framework of the project LIFE+ Nature "Management of the SPA site of Andros Island to achieve a Favourable Conservation Status for its priority species" (LIFE10 NAT/GR/000637) NCC in collaboration with the Hellenic Ornithological Society has produced a Environmental Education Kit entitled "In search of the natural treasures of the Special Protected Area of Andros".
